About Us

TMU CanSat is an award-winning student design team representing Toronto, Canada. Founded in 2006, our team designs, builds, and launches a CanSat, a small scale satellite simulation used to solve real world aerospace engineering challenges and competes on the international stage. We design and build our satellites from scratch, integrating sensors, microcontrollers, and components through structural iterative prototyping and testing. Subsystems are developed collaboratively to ensure reliable communication, data transmission, and safe descent, while meeting strict size and weight limits.
